Five riders set out under partly-cloudy skies from Adanac and Cassiar.  First stop was the graffiti-covered skateboard tunnel under Hastings Street at the PNE.  We made our way along Portside to Lakewood and headed southwards and upwards towards Still Creek Park just in time for the outdoor Zumba class.  The instructor remembered our group from early June and invited us to participate.  It was fun, but Jenni pointed out it was less tiring to ride our bikes.  We missed our turn off to the Duchess/Windsor route, but made it to Central Park along the BC Parkway in time to meet our sixth rider at 45th.  A pleasant lunch under warm/sunny skies was enjoyed pond-side in the park.  We continued our ride along little-known routes next to Boundary Road and through the cemetery to connect with Victory bike route.  By the time we reached the Highland Park Line, Wendy was running out of time and left us to return home as quickly as possible.  Just as well, seeing as I had a flat near Deer Lake and sent Jayne, Jenni (New West) and Carol ahead to finish the ride before dark.  Ken and I finished up a few minutes later and got home to North Van just after 3pm.  What a great late-summer day it was!  Thanks to all for sharing the ride!
