Party of 10 enjoyed a beautiful day in the Burke Mtn area. Hiked up to Dennet Lake Viewpoint, Dennet Lake, and Munroe Lake. thanks Yvetta for leading the way through untracked and sometimes unsigned snow, with able assistant Bob. We carried snowshoes but didn’t need them in the end, – snow depth near the summit close to a metre, but only about 6 inches soft on top, good crust underneath. Lovely sunny day. Below zero in the valleys, warmer on the summit. No wind. Lunch with a view. Fog patches in the valleys produced some lovely ice flowers.
Here’s a link for all who were there, and anyone interested.
