5 of us met at the Black Mtn lodge parking lot at the Cypress Mtn downhill ski parking lot. At 10:00am sharp we departed and went up the Howe Sound Crest Trail East to wards the Summit. The weather was mainly overcast with the sun breaking through now and then. We didn’t have any rain even though it threatened at times. We arrived at the Summit at none and had lunch. The bugs were annoying as were the chipmunks trying to eat our lunch! The views were interrupted by the fast moving clouds as they approached the Summit. Returned via Howe Sound Crest Trail West and stopped at the Bowen Lookout where the sky was clear, there were no bugs and there was a comfy seat. Total distance of 7.5 miles and 1850 ft elevation gain. We were back at the cars by 3:00pm.
Thanks everybody for coming . A great day!
