On Jan 31, we hiked to Garibaldi Lake only to find no snow until 5 km then needing only crampons and never our snowshoes. There is very little snow at Taylor Meadows turnoff. The lakes aren’t frozen enough to walk on. The creeks are very full including one which you must use a partially snow covered bridge which is a bit scary if you don’t like heights. You can also drive up the parking lot.
