Five of us led by Susan Allen, a newly minted trip leader, met at 9 am in Squamish. We climbed Slahanie from a less known trail starting a few km up the Mamquam Forest Service Road.
Not a long hike but boy, what a precipitous elevation gain. At time the incline was a constant 50%. It took us about 5 hours including stops peppered with incredible views of Squamish, the Chief and the Howe Sound. Looking forward to the next adventure led by Susan.
