This photo album is two trip reports in one. One, a sunny December day on the 4th, to 2nd and 1st Peaks and Brockton point (14 happy hikers), led by yours truly. On that trip we also met up with several golden age north shore hikers, who beat us to the lunch spot on 2nd Peak. The second, a Friday moonlight hike to the west end of Suicide Bluffs (5 hikers). The third hike (actually the first in time) was an early season jaunt on Nov. 20th with Katy P.

For those interested in the moonlit hikes, Peter Woodsworth says he plans to be leading hikes on full moon nights (about once a month), weather permitting. 3 of the group in snow shoes, and 2 in crampons. I wore crampons, but I recommend snowshoes, because of Peter’s propensity to go off the main trail, and I post holed a few times. So keep a lookout for forum notices (better still, subscribe, if you haven’t already).
