Sorry fo the late report. Work, leading Nsh trips and family life has kept me very busy.
I led the high note trail that circumnavigates whistler mountain with two new members. Both are 30 year old doctors and we chatted about ADHD, eating disorders, the mind, body and spirit of the child, transgender issues, suicide, indigenous issues, infertility, environmental toxins, stress, multiculturalism, malnutrition and so much more. It was so much fun chatting with two exceptionally intelligent and articulate women, that I didn’t even notice that I was hiking and time flew by.
That is the best thing about being a member of our club–meeting people that you would not normally meet. I believe our club has the widest diversity of any FMCBC club, with people from all over the world, ages ranging from early 20’s to mid-80’s and coming from various social and economic backgrounds. And in my opinion, our welcoming inclusivity is exceptional.
