Bears! We got to witness a beautiful black bear munching on blueberries right next to the trail (Taylor meadows camp ground is closed because of this reason). It did stop and stare at us and we decided quickly that our voyeurism was over.
Seven north shore hikers and 100’s of other hikers decided to wake up early to climb 1500m and 30 km (return) trip to Panorama peak. The sub-summit was as busy as a Tokyo subway. Therefore, 6 of us decided to walk down the ridge to the true summit. Once there, we became voyeurs once again! — a bunch of young women and one man decided they want to take a nude summit shot.
All in all, the trip was super beautiful as the scenery was endlessly delightful– painted by mother nature in her dazzling blues, verdant valleys and volcanic rock fields. A gem of a hike!
