Thank you Hedi for leading 12 of us to Panorama Ridge on Sunday. It was a gorgeous day and the scenery at the second stop point on the ridge was worthwhile for the 1520m elevation gain in 15km. There was no space left at the first stop of the ridge. All campsites and parking lots are full. Cars were parking far down, almost to the highway. None of us recalled seeing so many people on the trails. We made our NSH stops at the meadow after the 6 km mark and junction at Cheakamus Lake/Rubble Creek crossover. There are still some flowers here and there. We gathered to have a good snack break to make sure everyone has the energy to do the last 3km rocky uphill climb. This took us about one hour and I found it was the most strenuous part of the day. Despite the heat and long distance to the destination, we all enjoyed a relaxing lunch break with some wonderful breeze to cool us off. Some of us can even do a power nap in the beautiful view of Garibaldi Lake, Mount Price, Black Tusk and the surrounding peaks. Thank you to our leader for a long lunch break. We then headed down at 2pm and the return trip took us just under four hours. It was a wonderful hike and thank you Hedi for leading us. Here are a few photos to remind me of the day. https://goo.gl/photos/o3dX4WRgT7m4bBQS6
