Last winter I led a trip up Niche Pk, and due to white out conditions and overconfidence in my sense of direction, we ended up climbing Wag Pk to its north. Yesterday we tried again. This time the weather was better, and we made the summit. Like Wag it was steep and fun. But once the descending was done, my overconfidence led us into taking a shortcut directly into the middle of the swamp at the south end of Duffey Lake. I think it added to the adventure.
