Thanks for the interesting photos. Can you describe the Mt Harvey to Magnesia Meadows and beyond a little more. I am curious what route you choose from the top of Mt Harvey to Magnesia Meadows. How many kms and how long was the hike.
Thanks Beth

8 hours at a slow/moderate pace.

Is there a trail down Mt Harvey to the meadows or did you come down the backside of Mt Harvey ( which is quite steep)
sorry to bug you for details
June 18, 2015 at 9:21 am #5315Patricia MorrisMemberHi,
Dana our fearless leader (who doesn’t use the internet) took us down the backside of Harvey which is steep and marked with only 5 markers. But it is doable and you meet up with the Howe Sound Crest Trail. (You could do the reverse- but I liked it the way we did it.)
The meadows should be in full bloom next week so it is worth it to go to Magnesia Meadows for sure.

Thanks for all the details of your trip. All the photos are wonderful. In the past I have gone UP the steep back side of Mt Harvey on a foggy day and it was scary.
Your descriptions make me want to do it again. HAPPY HIKING FEARLESS TREKKERS!
Beth
