Jayne Hardy led a wonderful fall overnight to walk amongst the golden larches* on Mt. Frosty. Another this-year-member, Susan joined to make us a threesome. Yikes it was fun and perfect. Plenty of snow and this was probably the last weekend, as they trees are turning fast. Hopefully this will become an annual pilgrimage, maybe week earlier. It is not to be missed. Bring below zero sleeping bag and crampons.
*Alpine larches have it both ways, evergreen cones but their needles drop gold. Buds protect next years needles from winter damages.
