5 members joined Isabeau and I on Sunday, May 12, Mother’s Day, for a hike up to Fromme Mountain. We began climbing at 8ish, after spotting a bear a block away. Our hearty chatter kept it away.
Spikes were donned by a few members towards the end of the trail & we arrived to gorgeous sunshine & views after 3 hours of climbing 800 m in 5 km in the forest.
After lunch and a few quick photos, we began our descent and arrived back at the cars in 2 1/2 hours.
We came across small groups & one larger meetup group.
Some members could understand the 1 star rating in the 105 hikes book, but the good company helped to increase the star ratimg.
