Seven of us met at St David’s parking lot for car pooling. Then started to hike around 10 am. We followed the route via Christmas Gully as described on Vancouver trails (the Howe Sound Crest Trail, xmas gully and then returning via the Old Mount Strachan route and Baden Powell trail) with a short-cut. The hiking distance was 8.5 km in our case.
We arrived the North Peak of Mount Strachan around 12:00 noon. Had our lunch with a gorgeous view of Howe Sound, the Lions and beyond. Enjoyed nice sunny day! Then hiked toward the South Peak and followed Old Mt Strachan trail before joining to Baden Powell trail. We finished around 2:47 pm.
