Six of us went up Mount Gardner on this beautiful Tuesday morning. The temperature was perfect. We took a short ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay to Bowen Island. We started out at a slow/moderate pace from Snug Cove. We took north access trails – Hiker’s, Mid Level, Bluewater Reservoir, Summit and reach the peak via N.E. Ridge Trail. This approach is less popular but a bit longer and steeper in some short sections. However, we were rewarded with a few nice views to the Howe Sound and the North Vancouver. Thank you Matthias for leading us on this north summit route. It was really an excellent hike with a combination of lake – creek trail walk in Crippen Regional Park and continue rolling uphill to the North Summit of Mount Gardner at 2,480 ft. We all enjoyed the hike and 4 of us went up to the North Peak.
