ParticipantThe skies were overcast all day and quite dark at times, but we got away with doing this hike entirely without rain. Meandering through a large swath of the lower levels of the Seymour and Lynn Rivers region with great vistas of the busy harbor, Vancouver City, Brentwood and Metrotown, the six of us had a good time and editorialized some of the world’s problems while we were at it. Six and a half hours and 24 Kilometres later, we stumbled back into the parking lot, looking forward to a shower, a big dinner, perhaps a glass of wine but most of all: bed! Thank you all for being consistently upbeat while I led you ever deeper and further into the forest and racking up this kind of mileage. A bit far perhaps but I tend to follow where my legs are taking me and mainly look at the trees, listen to the birds and ponder all the marvelous details of our local landscape, forgetting all about quantifying the hike. Good thing some of you had devices to remind me of this, so thanks again for your good company.
