MemberWhat a great day. Lidia started the hike high in West Vancouver @ 1166 Millstream Rd. We had a view of Mt Baker before we walked onto the trail. We walked on an old road then a trail to see the Brothers Creek waterfall. Went back to the road to get onto Baden Powell where we could see the Fraser Valley. Walking with micro spikes on Baden Powell we ended up at the end of Grand National blue run cross country trail. We walked in the snow to Hollyburn Lodge where we bought hot drinks and ate our lunch on the picnic table behind the lodge.
Going down we followed a hike through the Cypress cabins, then onto a mountain bike trail which was connected to another trail. We had good adventure crossing MacDonald’s Creek. We took some time to appreciate the Hollyburn Fir with a diameter of 3metres and height of 150 feet. We were back at our cars by 3:20pm and it was beautiful sun on Mt. Baker.
