Thanks to Alena for leading us toward Lake Ann, Mt. Baker. We had deep powder snow. Creeks with deep banks of snow to hop over. We had sun, mist and overcast skies throughout the day. We were following the summer trail via Alena’s GPS. We only got about 4k toward the lake. The best part was seeing Mt. Shuksan veiled in mist, then emerge into sunshine, then disappear into the overcast sky again. It appeared and disappeared repeatedly.
