James' Backpack to Elfin, Oct 9/10

James Anderson, a new member who wants slow backpacks without rain, lead the trip to Elfin Lakes. We tented under the most exquisite sky amongst the most gorgeous snow peaked mountains. Hot and sunny Thursday, I almost made it to Opal Cone.
Friday morning we explored the Gargoyles. Friday afternoon the rains came and we left.
