Harvest Moon Searching – Sept 21

Three NSH members were trying to look for the full moon on the first night of the Fall.  The high clouds hid the moon away but made a spectacular sunset.

With the warning of a bear sighting, our timid souls decided to follow the ski run (Upper Powerline) to the end and return to the parking lot.   We enjoyed the moon cake with good views of dancing clouds and the crisp mountain air.

Thank you my fellow hikers joining me on the mountain to welcome Autumn night.

p.s..  A satisfying way to celebrate the moon cake festival ending with a great view of harvest moon hanging over the upper level highway on my way home!
