Two other members acquired about the backpack but they could not join. Only Beth and I headed up last Thursday. The weather was excellent, views gorgeous, meadows shining with the late autumn colours. Barely any snow. Patches maximum 10 cm at the top of Panorama Ridge. Snow started roughly in the middle between Helm Junction and Panorama Ridge summit, around 1900 meters elevation. Nights still quite warm, around zero C or not much below. I couldn’t recognize the campground – the new poles for hanging food and huge, modern outhouses changed the campground into small town.
It should be still sunny this coming weekend, recommending to visit the place.
Cheers,
Ryszard
