It’s another epic bike ride led by Lesley.  Thank you!!!

We were not going fast but we toured some of the best neighbourhoods in town.   I never know where to find the north arm of Fraser River from Vancouver.   We had our lunch with peaceful views of Fraser River and tidal marshes.

The forecast was rain in the afternoon.   5 of us met at the Planetarium under cloudy skies at 9:30.

Lesley started the ride by taking us to the BEST place for coffee with home made muffins baked at 7:00 in the morning.   This is a wonderful treat for us… coffee was made as we arrived.  Thank you Bruce being a wonderful host.

After the delicious muffin break, we started our ride to Camosun Bog.   We strolled thru the wooden boardwalk before continue our ride to UBC thru Pacific Spirit Park.   Just before 12:30, we arrived our lunch spot at Deering Island Park.

On return, we made a quick stop at the Biodiversity Museum to view the blue whale.  That’s when the rain started.  Everyone was prepared with proper rain gears before we started off again.

It was a  fast downhill riding through UBC to Spanish Bank, then back to the Planetarium.   Three of us peeled off at some different points except 2 made the full loop back to the car that was parked at the Planetarium.  The car was carrying the only electric bike in the trip!  It’s 3:30 and we leisurely made the loop in 6 hours – a wonderful bike ride!
