    Evans Peak

Evans Peak was named after Mr. Lesley Evans and his son John.Lesley (known and respected in the community) and John went missing in the area on June 6, 1966. They were last seen climbing with rope, possibly headed for Edge Peak.

    June 4, 2019

Steve Hailstone lead a group of 9 other NS Hikers up, up, and up 950 m. to the top of Evans Peak, in Maple Ridge. We had stunning views of Blanchard, Edge and all the others, but no Golden Ears.

It was a terrific hike with dangerous cliffs; steep rock faces with roots to hold onto, and great people. What more can you ask from a Tuesday?
