MemberBrilliant summer is August But …but…Delta Covid Variant Spreading, Sweltering heat, Forest fires, Global warming… All of these make us depressed and make everything stop… The only way to get rid of this stuffiness is to breathe and spend with nature, but even that has limitations and the reality is stuffy. A positive saying comes to mind. THIS TOO SHALL PASS !!! because nothing in the world is forever 🙂
I was thinking of a place to hike in the shade during the week when I heard the news that the last heat wave would start again. I was excited to receive Joanne’s email about a hiking plan in Eagle Bluffs(fr horseshoe bay). So yesterday the 8 members of NSH started at Horseshoe Bay on BP trail and hiked up Eagle Bluffs on a steep path in the forest shade. This route was troublesome to park the car in two places, but the steep slope in the forest to escape the heat was fun. Although it was a bit hazy with the smoke, the view from the top of Eagle Bluff was still fantastic.
One surprising thing, 10 years ago and now, Joanne, who is still passionate about outdoor activities, looked so healthy and beautiful. I have vivid memories of hiking together at Eaton lake on a foggy day. no change at all, Joanne 🙂 Thanks again to Joanne for organizing and leading us on this hike. Thanks again to Gordon for driving.
Here’s a little video from our trip yesterday.
