Started on a rainy gloomy day, six of us went up on the Whyte Lake via the Nelson Canyon Trail . Everyone is prepared in full rain gears and Ness even carried her umbrella. It took us less than an hour to reach the dock side of the lake, This was the moment when the rain hit us the hardest. We hurried out before the dock submerged. Once we reached the other side of the lake, the rain eased off. We continued our loop via Baden Powel trail, Horseshoe Bay trail head , stopped at the Gleneagles Community Centre for lunch, and return to the parking lot via Seaview Walk. We came back in descent dry condition and still have the energy to do some shopping at Park Royal, if we wish. The attendees were Alison, Ron, Ness, Michael and Gian.
