Cycle to School – PNE to SFU and Burnaby Mountain Oct 6, 2020

Four of five riders set out from Cassiar and Adanac under sunny skies and warm temps on a fine autumn day.  We met up with the fifth rider near Cariboo Road along the Central Valley Greenway, and headed up, up, up Gaglardi way to SFU.  Jenni showed us a new shortcut to Gaglardi and was a great tour guide for our stops at SFU and Burnaby Mountain.  Even the tourists at Burnaby Mountain Park gathered ‘round to hear what Jenni had to say and to ask questions about the view to Deep Cove from the mountain top.  After lunch next to the totem poles in the sunshine, we headed down, down, down Burnaby Mountain Parkway to the Francis Union Bikeway for four of us and the Barnet Highway for Jenni.  Thanks to all for a really nice day.

Thank you again for organizing another great bicycling trip, Holly! Nice to refresh our minds about Kamui Mintara Playground of the Gods (Auni totem poles) in Kushiro Park.
