Three of us – one leader and one sweep for Cristina – set out on a very chilly morning from Poco in search of cranberry harvest activity. We were not disappointed and saw several operations in various stages. The sun peeked out a few times, lighting up the beautiful scenery along the Pitt River trails. We were happy to find the Community Centre at Osprey Village open and heated with comfy seating for us to enjoy our packed lunches, supplemented by hot drinks from the Stomping Grounds coffee shop across the street. The Centre has a very nice art gallery and washrooms.
Some cranberry fields were flooded or in the process of being flooded so maybe if you get out there soon you might catch some great views.
