The weather turned out to be dry with sunny periods. The logging road up was a bit dodgy, with snow, ice and muddy bits. You definitely need high clearance 4WD truck or jeep. We accidentally met up with the Korean Hiking Club – they seem to show up everywhere that North Shore Hikers go. They must follow our schedule. We tried to hike around Showh Lake, but the snow got too deep, maybe 2.5 feet deep in some areas along the lakeshore. In the summer time, this trail is full of mosquitoes. Bring repellent or better yet, netting as they are aggressive buggers! Here are my photos from Saturday’s trip: https://www.flickr.com/photos/132221699@N08/sets/72157651634043282/
