With many last-minute cancellations, this hike ended up having a leader and a sweep and no hikers in between ;>). We decided to start an hour earlier, and turned it into a bird and botany outing. We met at 8:00 at the Rabbit Lane trailhead. It was crisp and clear. Less people and dogs on the trails than usual. We arrived back at the trailhead at about 10:45.
