Five very experienced riders met up in Vancouver and on the North Shore. This was advertised as a brand new route to Deep Cove with several surprises. Cristina counted 6 surprises: mini versions of squatter homes (e.g. author Malcolm Lowry, who wrote Under the volcano, was voted as one of the best modern novel ever written), huge wildlife sanctuary, 1918 Dollar family’s ruin, new spirit trail bike route with ocean views, a new quiet route back, and biking the Malcolm Lowry forest trails. We only biked 3 km on the Dollarton highway. The rest was on quiet streets, school yards, 0r forest trails.
I think everyone was pleasantly surprised! Always nice to find a new way of doing things.
