The plan was to hike along the Dog Mt trail-Suicide Bluff loop. But the avalanche report for Tuesday was “High” for the South Coast. So I suggested to change our hike yesterday morning when we meet fellow hikers at Old Buck Parking lot.
Four of us started hike with our microspikes. We hiked up Brockton Point and hiked down on the same trail until the First Lake junction to take the upper trail. We arrived to Dog Mountain around 12:10pm, have our lunch with a great view of Vancouver, Salish Sea and Fraser Valley. After sunbathing a few of us decided to use our snowshoes along the Dog Mountain trail.
