Nine of us started at the new BCMC trail entrance at the far end of the parking lot. This is a hike that everyone hike at their own pace.
The plan is to go up BCMC, re-group at the Chalet, have a break to wait for everyone to catch up. The group will continue to Dam Mountain, and may be to Thunderbird Ridge if the snow conditions are good for micro-spikes.
After 2 hours, 7 arrived at the chalet. 4 decided to continue to Dam Mountain.
The last two hikers arrived in about 3 hours. A big thank you to our end person, Cristina!
4 hikers completed the Dam Mountain loop and returned to chalet. It’s decided the snow was not in conditions for micro-spikes. We were greeted by a pair of eagles and the beautiful views in blue skies.
A good day of hiking – BCMC and Dam Mountain : distance 10.32km ; 1109m elevation gain
Thank you everyone!
