Ably led by Katie, assisted by Pam, four of us set out early on a cloudy but dry day. The mountain bike trails provided a good link to Big Cedar Trail, sparing us a bit of Mountain Hwy walking. The enormous old growth tree known as Big Cedar never fails to impress. Here, the trail segues into the Kennedy Falls Trail. Intermittently we walked over what appear to be remnants of the logging skids from days long gone. We relaxed for lunch at the falls, which were lovely after recent rain, then retraced our steps, exiting the forest at Mountain Hwy and Big Cedar Trail. It was a perfect day for this hike which we all enjoyed and the early start left us with the afternoon still ahead.
