Remembrance Day, and the hike was up Mt Gardner. Six people came, all immigrants to Canada from Poland, Iran, China, Germany (2), and England. The ferry people awarded free passage to all over 65, “Veterans” privelege I suppose, and even FREE COFFEE!
The Weather Channel forecast was for precipitation to start at 11am. Sure enough, when we paused at 11am to remember people killed in the wars, the first symbolic snowflakes began to float down through the trees. By the time we got to the top, the snowstorm was in full blow and we sheltered on the lee of the peak for lunch.
A muscle problem slowed our descent, but we still made the 4pm sailing back. No cellphones were used.
