Thank you Ness for leading this loop starting from a different approach to Quarry Rock. It was closed from Deep Cove access. The day started great with NO RAIN!!!
The Old Buck trailhead parking lot was busy with bikers and big construction truckers (yikes!)… finding a parking spot was a challenge but everyone managed to find one.
We had 8 members and one guest going at a very leisurely pace. Lesley gave botany classes on mushrooms, ferns and moss on the trail.
The sun came out when the group had lunch on the Rock. There were other groups sharing the views but it was not busy… we were able to enjoy a relaxing break before making the loop back via BP and Old Buck.
It’s a very satisfying hike and my guest, Sharon, thanked everyone for their patience.
