North Shore Hikers Needs a News Editor NOW!

We have been without a regular News Editor for a few years.  Now is the time for a change.  I invite you to volunteer for this important job.

The News Editor puts together the Raven, our semi-monthly newsletter, and other timely communications to help keep our members informed, entertained and inspired!

The Editor gathers the content for the Raven and other communications from the Executive Committee, club members and those involved in the club’s various activities, events and exploits.

No particular technical expertise is needed.  We can teach you what you need to know to post communications in one short session.

Are you looking for a new Career? Are you looking for a Promotion at work? Do you need to upgrade your Skill Set? Leading hiking groups develops many skills which can be applied in the Workplace. If so:

Think about leading a hike or bike trip for the North Shore Hikers!

You can learn and develop the following skills by leading a hike:

  4. Risk assessment
  5. Health and safety management
  6. Teamwork and Communication
  7. Problem solving, critical thinking
  8. Navigation
  9. Motivating groups
