🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕Club meeting held on May 14. Thank you for coming!

We had about 20 NSH hikers who gathered at Leslie’s house for pizza, pie, and tea. “Secondary” to the food attraction was participating to the business meeting of the Executive Committee. A great opportunity to meet and know who these people are. The Club is being run by volunteers who have different positions on the Committee. Each year, at the November AGM, we elect the President, VP, Treasurer, Membership Secretary, Recording Secretary and Planning Coordinator. All other positions on the Executive Committee can be filled any time during the year.

We had a good discussion about the current vacancies and we are happy to report that several attendees stepped up to fill the following positions:

Naomi Watts - A hikes Planner

Fern Pires and Carol N -Social Convener

Carol Kautz - Trip Report Secretary

We are still looking for volunteers to fill the following positions: Webmaster ; News Editor; Social Media; President ( starting in November); Cycle Coordinator ( starting in November)

Contact Cristina Jacob if interested.

Club Jerseys selected
Six different designs were looked at during the May 14 meeting and two were selected to apply the club logo on. A long sleeve and a short sleeve.

The jerseys will cost about $30 each and will be offered at a 50% discount to club members who led at least one activity in 2024 and at full cost to any member of the club.

More details will be included in the next Raven ( July/August)

In the interim, check the website called Temu and search for men cycling jerseys. You may like a different design. You can order the jersey you like and the club will pay for applying the club logo on the sleeve.

One or two volunteers needed to promote the club on May 26

Similar to previous years, the purpose of the event is to showcase the unique natural, history and network of trails at Lynn Headwaters Regional Park and the community that supports it.”
