Subsidized Wilderness First Aid Course

We have arranged with Canada West Mountain School, Inc. to offer a Wilderness First Aid Course exclusively for our members on the weekend of June 12th and 13th.  Members who complete the course and lead two club trips in 2021 will receive a 50% subsidy for the amount they have paid for the course.

The details of the course:

Cost: $265, which is 10% off their regular price of $295

Number of Participants: 6 minimum up to 8 maximum

Dates: June 12th and 13th

Location: West Vancouver Cricket Club

Format: 50-50 indoor/outdoor, with even less time indoors if the weather is good.  The indoor portion is in a well-ventilated room with capacity for 100 people (class will be from 6 to 8 people.)  Each participant will have their own table well-spaced from others. Participants must provide their own mask.  Canada West Mountain School will provide face shields.

Course Description: The following topics, skills, and techniques are covered through a series of lessons delivered through online, in-class, pre-course reading assignments, and outdoor field simulations.

All IWFA courses will be conducted in compliance with our Covid-19 Protocols.
