We biked over the Port Mann, Golden Ears and Pitt River Bridges. It was an hot (27C) and exhausting 50 km over 7 hours as I made several mistakes route finding (was noted as an exploratory trip). The cell phone GPS, saved us each time we got turned around. It was an ambitious trip and fellow club member Donna gave us many tips on how NOT to get lost (very helpful). If you like bridges, you will enjoy this trip, but for us, it was too difficult finding the bike routes on and off the bridges. However, the three regional parks and three greenways connecting the three bridges were very lovely and scenic. All in all, I really enjoy exploring “my own backyard” since covid shutdowns started. I had no idea local governments had built so many cycling greenways that are safe and separated from vehicular traffic. Check out Colleen’s “letsgobiking” website for more info.
